When tragedy struck one of our own guides leaving him paralyzed and in a wheelchair we decided then and there that we would make hunting available to everyone no matter what we had to do because no disAbility can dictate a persons desire to do the things they love, including being a hunter.
For your average handicapped hunter and outdoorsman, finding the right place to hunt can be very difficult. Finding a professional outfitter and guide company with guides who understand you, is even harder.
Here at TRO, one of our main company goals is to remove different types of physical constraints from the equation all together and replace them with adaptive technologies and professionally trained guides to help empower our handicapped hunting community.
Some of our adaptive hunting options include specialty vehicle mounts, custom electric wheelchairs and breath activated trigger systems that allow almost any handicapped person the option to shoot a firearm. Tongue River Outfitters can supply an electric wheelchair along with a firearm.
Pictured here shows an option of hunting from a vehicle as well as a picture of our breath activated trigger system mounted on a wheelchair for one of our happy hunters. The vehicle mounted rifle also utilizes the breath activated trigger system as mentioned above, and all that is required to fire the gun is a single breath of air.
